Sam Wilkinson brings over 15 years of experience in the Construction Industry and holds a First Class Honours Degree in Construction Management. He joined an industry-leading PLC, where he completed their Trainee Management Programme, providing him with an insight into the core functions of construction. Upon completion, he was entrusted with delivering sections of fast-paced, complex projects. This early hands-on experience shaped his career and deepened his expertise.

Sam later joined a start-up construction company, where he was influential in transforming the business into a recognised regional contractor, at its peak employing 40 members of staff and with a turnover in excess of £20 million. As Construction Director, Sam oversaw operations across multiple projects, from pre-construction through to completion. His high degree of professionalism and attention to detail allowed him to quickly identify and manage client needs. His key strengths in risk and programme management enabled him to develop effective strategies to ensure the successful delivery of high quality projects.

Outside of work, Sam is a family man, living with his wife and two children. He is a keen sportsman, playing rugby at a high level since leaving school. Today, Sam stays active by keeping fit at the gym. In his downtime, he also loves cooking.

Sam Long is a highly experienced professional with over 20 years in the Construction Industry. He brings a wealth of expertise in managing and delivering complex construction projects across a range of sectors, including residential, education, commercial, industrial, aviation, retail, healthcare, and entertainment & leisure. Sam has held senior roles in regional and national construction companies, successfully leading commercial teams and overseeing high-value projects.

His extensive background in financial and strategic planning, cost and risk management, and relationship-building has been key to his success. A high performer from the outset, by 2006, Sam was successfully managing multiple projects at the age of 23. He began his career with Walter Llewellyn & Sons, earning a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying and receiving the CIOB ‘Outstanding Performer Award’. Sam has since served as Commercial Director for a regional main contractor where he was influential in achieving substantial organic growth. He has also opened and led a regional office for another prominent construction firm.

Known for his professional yet approachable manner, Sam is committed to building strong, transparent partnerships and delivering high-quality results. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, staying active through sport, and drawing on his experience as a former semi-professional footballer.
